Suddenly the lights came on. And there was a five-year-old cow licking and biting the switch.

Ralph Langan, of Chicago, rushed his wife in his car to n. maternity hospital. For several hours he waited anxiously. Then a nurse came into the corridor and told Ralph he was the father of a fine daughter. "Hurrah," said Ralph, "I'll just drive around and tell all the folk." But when he got outside the hospital thoro was no ear there. It had been stolen. "You can't have everything," was the father's philosophic remark as he weqt to the 'phone to notify the police.
