FRAUD NOT PROVED.
CLAIM FOR MOTOR CAR. MAORI WOMAN LOSES CASE. "When the case started I thought I would have to consider a swindle, but after hearing all the evidence I am convinced there was nothing in it," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, when he gave judgment for defendant in a claim brought against a motor Shelley Atkinson, by a Maori woman, Mrs. Letta Henry, of Rangiahua. Mrs. Henry claimed a motor car valued at £200,' which she alleged was her property and alternatively the sum of £250 and a further £2.") for alleged detention of the vehicle. She alleged fraud on the part of defendant. The case was partly heard on Thursday.
