MANUAL TRAINING.
HUNTLY DISTRICT SCHOOLS. DEMAND FOR CHANGE. (By Tclegrnph.—Own Correrpon<2ent.) HUNTLY, this day. A meeting convened by the Huntly School Committee at which Wliangamarino, Pukeiniro. Rblowaro, Rarigiriri, Tc Kauwhata. Tnkekapa, Huntly and Huntly convent schools were represented, was held here this morning to discuss the question of having the manual and technical training school removed from Xgaruawahia to Huntly. Mr. W. Sillich, chairman of the Huntly School Committee, who presided, said that the Education Board had been approached a year ago, but nothing had been done. The Ngaruawahia School wan only working half-time, and some schools were not participating in technical training, as the technical school was not central and transport was unsuitable.
On the motion of Mr. R, Conn' (Rotowaro), seconded by Mr. A. Tither (Huntly), it was unanimously decided to invite the Education Hoard to meet representatives of the associated committees next Wednesday, failing that the board to fix a daie.
