BRASS BANDS CONTEST.
At a well attended meeting of delegates from affiliated bands of the Auckland Provincial Brass Bands Association it was decided to hold a brass bands' contest in Auckland in November next, when it is anticipated that at least 10 bands will be in competition. It was also decided on the application of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, to assist in its carnival with at least six bands.
