REMITS AT CONFERENCE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
NAPIER, Thursday,
The annual conference of the Hospital Boards' Association was continued in Napier to-day. A remit to set up a buying organisation was withdrawn, the meeting deciding to set up a committee to report on the proposal. A Taurariga remit seeking financial assistance from the Native Department toward the expenses of Maori patients was agreed to, and it was resolved to ask the Unemployment Board to set aside sufficient money to pay the hospital fees of relief workers.
