AUCKLAND-INVERCARGILL
SUPPORT AT HAMILTON

A resolution from the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, supporting the licensing of at least one trunk air service between Auckland and Invercargill, was discussed bv the Hamilton Boiough Council last evening. Mr. 11. D. Caro, the deputy-Mayor, stated that air services were essential to the Dominion and should benefit the Waikato.
Mr. A. Denze opposed the motion. "We are entering too much into an age of speed, and lives are being sacrificed as a result," lie declared.
A resolution supporting the proposal was carricd by a good majority.
