HOUSE STOLEN.
PARIS GANG CHARGED. French Fear of Ambitious Burglars. GUARD FOR EIFFEL TOWER! (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph— Copyright) (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, February 25. "The Times" Paris correspondent states that an ironmonger living at Puteaux, 11 miles from the capital, informed the police commissairc that a three-cornered house and three iron sheds, one of which was 45 feet high, and six feet of fence, all the property of the Railway Department, had suddenly disappeared. The commissaire visited the scene and verified the story. The police to-day arrested a gang of seven charged with house stealing. The correspondent recalls a former incident, which must now be regarded as a comparatively modest feat, when burglars stole a massive staircase while the householders were asleep. Thieves am growing ambitious. This has resulted in the suggestion that the Eiffel Tower should be closely guarded!
