KITCHEN TEA.

Miss Diana D'Esterre, who is to be married this week, was, the recipient of many gifts on Saturday afternoon, at a kitchen afternoon given by Miss Ruth Schmidt at her home in Tudor Street, Devonport. Miss Schmidt received her guests wearing a pretty blue striped frock, and she was assisted in her duties as hostess by her mother, Mrs. H. J. Schmidt, and by Misses M. Schmidt and Ada Clark. Competitions were won by Missee Rita Haresnape, Jean Gillies, and Dorothy Zimonscu. Among the guests present were Mesdames F. D'Esterre, A. Johnstono, Edwards, Garlick, Twcedio, H. White, and Misses E. and D. D'Esterre, E. Gibson, J. Gillies, R. Haresnape. J. Johnstone, J. Lochore, Helen Schmidt, M. Stone, M. White, and D. Zimonsen.
