NEW CHRISTCHURCH RECORD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The broadsiding meeting at Monica Park on Saturday evening was very successful. Lionel Van Praag, who rode spdendidly, beat Taylor's record for two laps with a clutch start in 40 l-ss, reducing the time by 1 3-ss. Results : — A Grade Handicap.—Final: Van Frang, scr, 1; J. Roscoe, 4s, 2; \Y. Dumpletou, Os, 3. Time, 1.25 3*5. A Grade Consolation Race. —W. Churchill, Bs, 1; R. Dixon, 3s, 2 ; C. Perabo, scr, 3. Time, 1.36 1-5. Experts' Match Races (three laps, rolling start). —First race: J. Hobson beat C. Perabo. Time, 1.1 1-5. The second race between Van Praag and Perabo was called off when Perabo fell in trie first lap and damaged his machine. Third race: Van Praag beat Hobson. Time, 1.1 3-5.
