WOODVILLE RACES.
REED AND MORRIS SUSPENDED
MISS HUSHABYE'S AUTUMN. SOUCHONG SCORE'S IN* SPRINT. WOODVILLE, Saturday. The Woodville autumn meeting concluded to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. The track was holding as the result of overnight rain. The totalisator handled £5048, compared with £5502 on the second day last year, a drop of £454. The total for the meeting was £8913, compared with £11,794, a decrease of £2881.
As the result of an incident in the County Handicap on the first day, in which it was alleged that Coronilla, ridden by R. Peed, and Life Guard, ridden by B. H. Morris, interfered with State Bank, ridden by B. Marsh, an inquiry was held and adjourned until to-day, when Reed and Morris were held guilty of careless riding. Each was suspended for one month.
