N.Z.'S BUSH RESERVES.
CONSERVATION URGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ROTORUA, Friday. The opinion that every effort should be made to conserve the Dominion's bush reserves, and that further deforestation should be avoided at all costs, was expressed by ill". J. G. Billen, a wellknown New South Wales grazier, in an interview to-day. Mr. Billen expressed the opinion that steps should be taken by the Government to prevent any felling of the bush on the route to Waik'aremoana. through the Urewera. He said he was sure the tourist traffic from Australia and America could be greatly increased by making the attractions of this scenicroute more widely known.
