WENDY CHATS
Dear Girls, — Isn't it lovely when little cases of unselfishness pop up all of a sudden and surprise one) They leave such a warm, happy reeling in their wake, and one pauses a little moment in the busy round of this work-a-day world to think kindly of these happiness-bringers, and then to p ass on one's "way again cheered a little by the contact. Which brings me back to what I really set out to tell you about. Marjorie Earle and Margaret Roche have been having a -very busy time or late running a no less. I am going to let Marjorie teU you all about it in her letter to-day. The little bazaar in Marjories garage resulted in 5/ profit and this these girl readers have sent to me lo give to someone in need. Well, Marjorie, dear, and Margaret, too, and all your other little friends, thank you so very much; you would be surprised at the comfort and happiness your postal note is going to bring to several small people here in Auckland. Then fast on the heels of Marjorie's letter came another from a boy reader, Frank Respinger, of Devonport, who requested that his book prize be given to some little child in whose home toys were few and far between. We want Frank _ to know we have sent one of our best book prizes /f to an Auckland orphanage, where lots of little folk , \ will find pleasure and happiness within its pages. /1) Love to you all from V
