WRITERS' CLUB.
, "Pageant," a novel by G. B. Lancaster, a well-known Xew Zealand writer, was the subject of a discussion at the Writers' Club on Friday afternoon. Historical.cultural and psychological phases of the old convict days in Australia were dealt with, and a lively discussion took place regarding the main characters in the book. Mrs. Richmond presided, in the absence of Mrs. Cluett.
