A lengthy list of cases is set down for hearing at the Warden's Court, which lias been adjourned for one month on the application of counsel. The applications aro mainly for special <piartz claims at Waiorongomai, tiled by Clivo Xethei ton. Malcolm Hardy, J. P. Crawford, and Waiorongomai Goldmines, Limited. Objections are raised in each case by tho Public Works Department, it being contended that the turning of tho river tailings intt* the Waihou River would be detrimental to drainage operations on the Hauraki Plains.
