THE ENTERPRISE CLUB.

After a short suspension covering the holiday season, the activities of the Enterprise Club (New Zealand Mutual Help and Advisory Bureau) have been resumed. After Miss N. L. Dash, director, addressed the members the evening was occupied with French correspondence and conversation, and with a debate. The subject of debate was "That modern civilisation has added to the general happiness of mankind," the teams comprising Mrs. Allright, Mrs. JRaine, Mrs. Sunmers, Miss Woolley, and Messrs. L. Bowden, J. Duncan, Horan and Jackson. Criticism and coaching were given at the conclusion of the debate. It was reported that since Christmas work had been found for 98 men and women and a number of distressing cases helped.
