PEDESTRIAN'S DEATH.
RETRIAL OF MOTORIST. The retrial of Frederick William Whitaker, aged 2!), farmer, on a charge of negligently driving a motor car, causing death, was begun at the Supreme Court at noon to-day before Mr. Justice Fair. Accused was driving a car about eight o'clock on the evening of September 18, and struck a pedestrian, Edmund S. Coppinger, just past the intersection of Customs Street and Fort Street, throwing him against a Kemucra-bound tram. Coppinger died from his injuries at the hospital next morning. I Mr. V. N. Hubble prosecuted and Mr. I Schramm appeared for the accused. .
