WEEK OPENS QUIETLY. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND STEADY. .There was a quiet opening on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning, with bidding steady at about late rates. In the banking section New Zealands , were steady, with fresh business at £2 MV'9, after which the market rested between £2 10/0 and £2 11/. Reserves were steady from £6 11/ to £0 12/. Auckland Gas shares were again in demand at £1 7/, with no seders'. Government stocks had buyers for almost every issue, but there were few sellers, the onlv offering being cf 103S-13's at £107, 1938-52's at £107 10/, and 1940's at £103. Loan and Mercantile had their first sale since August, the transaction at £45 showing a drop of £11 in the interval. Tlhe Noon Call. There was a fair inquiry during the morning, and a fresh list of sales was; recorded at the noon call. National ot Australasia had their first sale since August, showing a rise of 12/6 in the . interim. A seller of Auckland Gas came in at £1 8/. In Government stocks 1919 s were on oifer at £108.
