VICE-REGAL FAREWELL.

COMBINED FUNCTION. All the Auckland suburban local bodies will co-operate with the City Council in flie gathering to be held on March 0 on the occasion of the last visit to Auckland of the Governor-General, Lord Blcdkloe, and Lady Bledisloe. The appreciation of the people in the entire metropolitan area of the services given by their Excellencies will be expressed in an illuminated address, which is to be encased in a casket, in the form of a carved Maori pataka. The address will contain water colour sketches _of scenes of beauty and historic association in and about Auckland. The function will be held in the Town Hal] in the evening. In the afternoon the Mayoress, Mrs. G. W. Hutchison, will, on behalf of the women of Auckland, make a presentation to Lady Bledisloe.
