I EGG TRADE LIFELESS. LONDON, January*24. Eggs are lifeless. Australian, nominally fourteens, 7/0 per 100; fifteens, 7/9; sixteens, 8/3; seventcens, 8/9. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. - SYDNEY, January 24. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 11,108 bales were offered, and 9878 were sold. Also 523 bales were sold privately. Values were fully maintained, but faulty wools were still irregular. Competition was strong and general, with increased activity on German account. Greasy Merino sold to ISVid.
LONDON WOOL SALE. LONDON, January 24. At the wool sales 10,380 bales were ofl'ered, including 4029 New Zealand. About 8551 Australian and New Zealand were sold. Competition was well sustained at steady rates. Compared with closing rates of last series, best greasy Merinos arc 5 per cent up, others unchanged, scoureds par to 5 per cent up, fine greasy crossbreds 5 per cent dearer, medium and coarse par to 5 per cent up. New Zealand greasy crossbred, Titi, top price 10% d. average Od: lamb slipe wool, Feilding, ltd and ll%d. WHEAT CARGOES, ETC. LONDON, January 24. Wheat cargoes are steady. Parcels are steady. Futures—London: February, 20/5 per quarter; April, 20/6; June, 21/3. Liverpool: March, 4/1114 per cental; May, 5/1%; July, 5/3%. Spot trade is slow. Australian, ex ship, 24/0 to 25/3. Flour is quiet. Australian, ex store, 18/9 to 19/. Oate are dull, and peas and beans quiet.
