ENGINEERS CONFER.
The annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the Xew Zealand Society of civil engineers was held last evening at the School of Engineering, University College. There was a good attendance, Mr. Jas. Tyler, the chairman, presiding. The officers elected as the executive for the current year were: Chairman, Mr. TT. W. Beaslev; lion. secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. T. Murray; city members, Messrs. W. S. Home, F. E. Powell, J. Tyler; country members, Messrs. F. C. Bunyard (Rotorua), A. P. Grant (Paeroa) and S. L. Spanhako (Dargaville). Mr. C. W. Firth, in collaboration with Mr. .T. R. Page, engineer of the Manukau County, submitted a paper on the Mange-re water supply.
