WEDDING.
GRACE—DUNCAN. Beautifully decorated with blue and pink hydrangeas, Christ Church, Wanganui, was the scene of a pretty wedding, when Jeannie Slargaret, youngest daughter of Mr. and Sirs. T. A. Duncan,
"Otairi," Hunterville, was married to George Russell, elder son of Sir. and Sirs. Russell Grace, "Aries," Wanganui. The bride wore a gown of beautiful Hat tfliite French crepe, made with a high cowl effect, lined with silver lame, and sash lined with silver. The skirt was r.irde with a fan-shaped train lined with silver, and fell straight to the ground in
ront. A small wreath of orange blossom,
held in place by a tulle veil, was worn on the side of the head. The bri'ie carried a shower of Phillipieuse lilies. She was given away by her father.
Tho bridesmaids were the Slisses Joan Caughey (Auckland), Sheila Graham (Hawke's Bay), Bessie Gaisford (Slarton) and Cynthia Wilson (Bulls). All four were dressed alike in tulip green chiffon frocks over taffeta, made with tucked bodice 6, little side trains and wide taffeta sashes. Their big green crinoline hats were trimmed with green taffeta and chiffon flowers, and they carried arm showers of pale pink water lilies.
The best .man was Sir. Alister Williams (Slasterton), and the groomsmen Slessrs. Michael Grace, W. Duncan (Hunterville) and Harold McKenzic (Hawke's Bay). The usher.-- were Slessrs. D. Pharazyn (Dannevirke), B. Silk, W. Lewis, E. Duncan, P. Briant and J. Bunny (Slasterton). Tho Rev. P. A. Stanley performed the marriage ceremony, and Sir. F. Wentworth Slater played the wedding music.
After the ceremony many guests were entertained at the home of Sir. and Sirs. R. Hatrick, of St. John's Hill. Sirs. Duncan, the bride's mother, wore a handsome gown of dull black crepc, made with a short train, black Baku hat with eye veil, and carried scarlet roses. Sirs. Russell Grace wore brown lace and georgette, and a,brown straw hat, and her bouquet was of gold dahlias. Mrs. Ronald Hatrick, the bride's sister, wore printed crepe in tones of black, green and gold, finished with black tulle, and made with a small train. Her hat was black, and her flowers were scarlet carnations. The wedding breakfast was served in a big marquee, which had beer beautifully decorated with masses of pink and blue hydrangeas. The bridal party was on a raised platform, banked with hydrangeas, and eet under a wedding bell of white and pink water lilies. The bride's table was adorned with pale pink water lilies. When Sir. and Sirs. Grace left, the latter wore a smart ensemble of green and white, with green straw hat am' white accessories.
