BATHER'S IDENTITY.
SEARCH ON ROCKY COAST.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Little doubt remains that the man who was lost In the surf at Lyall Bay yesterday was Albeit John Sidey, aged 50, a storeman, who resided at "28, Aro Street. A search for the body was continued until late last night and was resumed again at daybreak, but a thorough inspection of the rocky coast on both sides of the bay was without result.
In a Press Association message published on Friday it was reported that a man, who was apparently a strong swimmer, was noticed outside the breakers at Lyall Bay on Friday morning, but was not seen to come ashore. Inside the bathing shed were found a grey suit, brown felt hf|t, tan boots, black shirt, also a gold watch and chain, a brief bag and a towel, but nothing to declare the bather's identity.
