IDEAL LIFE.
AT TATTRAN&A. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. Ideal camp life is being enjoyed by boy scouts and cubs who went under canvas on the high school and Domain on Saturday. A visit will be made by launch to Matakana Island to-morrow, and Saturday will be a free day. Many will visit local friends and parents who are on holiday at Tauranga and The Mount. Sunday will be visitors' day, and a number of parents are expected to arrive from Matamata, Te Poi and other Waikato districts. A church parade will be held at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening. The scouts in camp include boys from Rotorua, Putaruru, Te Poi, Matamata, Te Aroha, Waitoa, Morrinsville, Thames and Waihi. The officer in charge is District Commissioner F. G. Southon, of Te Poi, who is assisted by Scoutmasters P. C. McNeil, Waitoa, and C. McLeocl, Morrinsville. The cubs are in charge of Assistant Cubmasters J. Flower and W. Howe, Matamata. The camp will be continued until January 19. The number in camp is 158, and before the end of the week it is expected to increase to about 200. Th Mayor, Mr. A. F. Tunks, officially visited the camp yesterday. On behalf of the townspeople he welcomed the boys to Tauranga.
