ST. CUTHBERT'S OLD GIRLS.
PARTY FOR NEW MEMBERS. A very jolly party was held by the members of the St. Cuthbcrt's Old Girls' Association at the college on Tuesday evening for those girls who are leaving St. Cuthbert's at the end of the year, and who would later join the association.
At the commencement of the evening two entertaining one-act plays were produced by Miss Trixio Abel, entitled "Ghosts on Christmas Eve" and "Afternoon." The girls taking part were Misses Trixie Abel, Nancy Noy, Betty Buttle, Phyllis Rawson, Kathleen Winstone and Frank Heron. Strawberries and ices were then served, after which dancing and competitions were enjoyed. The winners of the competitions were Misses Mildred Magill, Joan Stewart and "Nelsa McDougall. Later a dainty supper was served in the domestic science rooms.
The committee in charge of the arrangements comprised Misses Phyllis Gash (president), Joan Dods, Gwen Hooper, Tory Johnston, Joyce Neumegen, Betty Richwhite, Helen Bews, Quita Taine, Margaret Shaw and Isobel Wells. Members of the association present were Miss L. Clouston (patron), Misses Mary Maeky, Ruth Chandler, Lou Williamson, Bebe C'ooke, Mary Davis, Valmai Mackenzie, Jean Chandler, June Rose, Muriel Hull, A'ilea Rose, Nancy Noy, Frank Heron, Melva Backett, Winnie Tippetts, Althea Morley, Julie Orr, Margaret Qiiigley, Don Taine, Mollie Grove. Peggy Message, Kathleen Bull, Sybil Stewart, Clare. Dauby, Avis Danby, Sybil Blomfield, Ngairo Blomfleld, Phyllis Rawson, Peter Gorrie.
