NEW LEADERS.
SALVATION ARMY. ARRIVAL NEXT THURSDAY. WELCOME IN AUCKLAND. Th e new leaders of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, LieutenantCommissioner F. Adams and Mrs. Adams, are due to arrive at Auckland by the Mataroa next Thursday. They will receive a quayside welcome by the Salvation Army, and on Thursday afternoon a further welcome at the Auckland Congress Hall. Leaders of other religious organisations will be present, also the deputy-Mayor, Mr. A. J. Entrican. On Thursday evening LieutenantCommissioner Adams and Mrs. Adams will leave by the express for the South. Originally the Mataroa was expected to reach Auckland next Wednesday, and n welcome had been planned for Wednesday evening. The chief secretary of New Zealand, Colonel A. Osborn, arrived from Wellington this morning to meet the new leaders. Colonel Osborn has been in charge cf the New Zealand organisation since the departure of Commissioner J. Cunningham, who left the Dominion last July. Ho went to England to attend the High Council, at which General Eva Booth was elected to take charge of the world organisation.
