DRUNKEN HAWKER.

SELLER OF BOOTLACES. Arrested yesterday on a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner while drunk in Wvndham Street, a labourer, John Taylor McDougall, aged 40, appeared in the Poliee Court this morning. He pleaded guilty. Sub-Inspector Scott said McDongall was yesterday selling bootlaces. Whenever a passer-by refused to purchase his wares, McDougall would abuse him and call out in a loud voice. "I think he had too much liquor and did not realise what he was saying," added the subinspector. McDougall was fined £1, or three days' imprisonment.
