AUCKLAND CLUB. THE SUMMER MEETING. The Auckland Trotting Club has framed a moet attractive programme for their summer meeting, and with the excellent prize-money large entries should be received, and the best horses in training should be seen at the fixture. The Auckland Royal Trotting Cup has a stake of £ 1200, and the winner will receive a gold cup valued at £50, which wall be presented to the successful owner by the Duke of Gloucester! The Rowe Trotting Handicap" of £400, for trotting horses only, two miles (limit 4.44), is the next important item on the opening day. On the second day the. principal race is the Champion Handicap of £500, one mile and and a quarter (limit 2.44), but on that day the Great Northern Trotting Derby will also be run. On the third day the President's Handicap of £500, two miles (limit 4.27), will be the chief attraction. Nominations close with the secretary, Mr. A. G. Mabee, Durham Street, at 5 p.m. next Friday. At the same time final payments are due for the Great Northern Trotting Derby. Full particulars are advertised in this issue.
