VICTORIA LEAGUE.

GIRLS ENTERTAINED A most enjoyable morning tea was given by the Victoria League girls' entertainment circle, in honour of the producers at the recent concert given by the girls' committee. The guests of honour were Mrs. G. Roose, Miss Mavis McCulloch, Miss Daphne Knight, Miss Mabel Johnstone, and Miss Noni Wright. Opportunity was also taken to welcome home Miss Rika Paterson, who has.been studying singing in Melbourne for the last two years. Two brides elect, Miss Joyce Nairn and Miss Marie Rountree,' were presented with bridal cookery books. A short musical programme was enjoyed, those taking part were Mrs. Hugh Ward, Miss Judy Aickin, and Miss Marie Rountree. The guests were received by Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, chairman of the girls' committee, and the following members acted as hostesses: Misses Marjorie Cerutty, Alison Laery, Dinah Isaacs, and Ela Hutchison.
