AUCKLAND PLANS.
REFRESHMENTS TOR CHILDREN
Representatives of the Victoria League, Overseas League, Navy League, Royal Empire Society and Officers' Club held a meeting last evening when the question of supplying refreshments to the school children visiting Auckland on Thursday, December 27. for the function to be held at the Domain, was discussed. It was decided to refer the matter on to the ladies' committees of the various organisations, who in turn will report to the Mayor's Committee.
It is expected that from 2000 to 3000 children will come to Auckland for the day, and systematic arrangements are to'bo maclc'to lock after them while in the city.
