GOOD WORK DONE.

PRIME MINISTER'S REVIEW. TRIBUTE TO ME.. COATES. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Before the House finally adjourned to-day, the Prime Minister, Mr. Forbes, answered questions as to business for the early session. He considered the work done during the session which was closing was extremely important, though it had been delayed mainly through extensions of time which had to be given to important Eoyal Commissions. Mr. Forbes said he wished to. pay a tribute to the work which had been accomplished by the Minister of Finance, Mr. Coates. There had been the tariff legislation, which opened up the whoTe of that big question, and. Financial Bills and the Companies Act and other measures. He was sure the House would agree with him that Mr. Coates had ehown a good deal of tact and ability in the way he had put those measures through.
