SCHOLARSHIPS. IVAWUNGS SCHOLARSHIP. V io The Trustees under the Will of the late Humphrey Rowlings offer two Scholarships for competition in Decemher next. The Scholarships are tenable for three years, commencing from the first term in the year 1935, and consist of Free Tuition at cither the Auckland Grammar School or King's College, as the parents o£ the scholars may choose. A maintenance allowance of £10 per annum, payable tiuarterlfi will also be advanced to eachscholar. Only hoys under the age of twelve years on December 1 next, attending one of the public common schools of the Provincial District of Auckland, and Die pons of poor parents, will be eligible for the Scholarship. A Boarding Scholarship of an annual value of £43 is now offered tenable for one year with ii possibility of a further year. Applicants must be resident in the Auckland Province and must bo under eleven years of ago and have qualified to pass out iif at leant the third standard. An examination of candidates will be hold at Kings School about the end of November. Entries with all needful information nuist be received by the Headmaster ut King's School by November 21 next.
