TAKANINI GALLOPS.

GAY BLONDE GOES FAST. TRAY BIT ALSO PLEASES. The outside grass was in use at Takanini this morning for fast work, and tne going was in excellent older. Matorni (Fearn) and Nun Nicer (.Jones) were sent five furlongs, the pair finishing together in 1.3 1-5. The former impressed most. High Crest (Clifford) pleased while running three furlongs in 37 2-ss. Lifeguard (Fearn) was responsible for the best five furlongs of the morning, completing the distance in 1.2 2-5. He lias been working very well of late. Baliymoney (Walters) was allotted a serviceable task over six furlongs, sprinting home over the last three in 39 4-ss. Cay Sheik (Doig) was not asked to do his best while running three furlongs in 41 3-os. Flood Tide (Jones) completed useful work with a brush up the straight. United (Walters) and Lap Up (Clifford) were together at the end of live furlongs in 3.4 3-5, both working well. Acranna (Eastlake) and Safari (Tinker) ran half a mile, finishing together in 51s. Tray Bit (Jones) and Gay Blonde (TiJsley) completed half a mile in 48 4-ss. Gay Blonde, got slightly the worst of the start, but was in front at the finish. Arch Kuler (Clifford) and Lord Willonyx) were together at the end of six furlongs in 1.18 2-5, but Arch Kuler impressed most. Flight (Forsyth) easily accounted tor Haupere (Glynn) although there was only a length between them a,t the conclusion of half a mile in 51s. Spearcourt (Tinker) and Flying Prince (Forsyth) jumped away at the mile and a quarter post, but the pace was not on till they readied the seven-furlong post, from which point Spearcourt came home in 1.35, with Flying Prince beaten off. Memnon (Doig) was not asked to do her ljest while running six furlongs in 1.24.
