I JUBILEE CELEBRATION. J A special meeting of the Pride of Taumarunui Lodge, Xo. 84, 1.0.0. F., was held in the Theatre I'oyal Annexe on Saturday evening, October 13, for the purpose of the half yearly installation of oflieers. Bro. H. J. MoCauley, N.G., presided, and welcomed visitors from other lodges of the Order," in the South Auckland district, and the installing officers, under Bro. W. H. Woolley, D.D.G.M. After Bro. McCauley had been invested with the regalia of junior past grand, the following officers 'were installed by Bro. Woolley, D.D.G.M., assisted by Bros. J. P. Coulter, P.D.D.G.M., L. S. Webster, P.G., and other visiting and local past grands: — N.G.. Bro. H. W. West; V.G., Bro. T. H. McLeod; recording secretary, Bro. W. ,T. King; financial secretary, Bro. G. •T. Bull, P.D.D.G.M.; treasurer, Bro. TT. Tomlinson. P. 0.; warden, Bro. C. If, Lawn. P.G.; conductor, Bro. .T. Iv. Stephens; chaplain, Bro. C. E. ]McKenzie, P.G.; K.S.S., Bro. 0. Collier; L.S.S., Bro. W. Marshall; R.S.N.G., Bro. F. Jf. Francis, P.G.; L.S.N.G., Bro. W. H. Davys, P.G.; R.S.V.G.. Bro. A. Beid, P.G.; L.S.V.G.. Bro. E. H. Berger. P.G.; J.Q., Bro. S. R. Phillips; 0.G., Bro. A. J. Pratt. At the conclusion of the meeting, the members and visitors joined in a social gathering, which was presided over by Bro. G. J. Bull, P.D.D.G.M. The funcBro. G. J. Bull, P.D.D.G.M. The function, in addition to being in honour of the installation of officers, was in celebration of the 2."i(,h anniversary of the inauguration of the lodge. The toast of Grand Lodge was proposed by Bro. F. M. Francis, P.G., aud responded to by Bro. W. If. Woolley, D.D.G.M. In proposing the toast of the evening, that of "Pride of Taumarunui Lodge,"

Bro. J. P. Coulter, P.D.D.G.M., gave some interesting information to the members, and stressed the importance of Odd Fellowship, and expressed congratulations and greetings to the lodge. In responding to tlie toast, Bro. G. .TBull, P.D.D.G.M., who has been secretary of-the lodge for over 12 years, gave an outline of tlie history of the lodge, which was opened on September 8, 1909, and which, for a number of years, had a very checkered career, going practically defunct and being resurrected, and since 1919 has continued to hold its own. At the conclusion of tlie chairman's ■ response, the presence of ladies was announced, and Sisters N. J. Watson, X.G., G. M. Morgan, V.G., M. A. Davys, financial secretary, and M. A. Ewart, chaplain, of the recently-formed Ruapehu Rebekali- Lodge, No. 81, 1.0.0. F., were escorted in and given a rousing welcome. The toast of the Charter Members was in the capable hands of Bro. Woollev. D.D.G.M., who made feeling reference to the fact that one of the original charter members, Bro. 11. Tomlinson, P. 0., was present, the charter members of the lodge being Bros. A. J. Richards, W. G. Gate, H. Tomlinson, W. Wallin and A. Riches. In responding, Bro. 11. Tomlinson, P.G., gave members an interesting and amusing account of the very earliest days of the lodge, and he said that the chairman had given details of the death and resurrection of the lodge, but that lie was giving them an outline of its history up to tlie time of its death, in " tlu good old days."

The half-yearly installation of officers of the Tni Kebekah and Awarua Lodges, 1.0.0. F., was held in Taihapc on Tuesday evening, the ceremony being conducted by D.D.G.M. Bro. T\. .J. Boyce and staff, from Palmerston North. The following wore installed: —Awarua Lodge: N.G., Bro. A. I?. Morgan; J.P.G., Bro. A. G. Gibb; V.G., Bro. F. R. E.
