CANADA'S WHEAT.
PRICES WILL BE PROTECTED. (Received 1.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, October 23. . No group of financiers will be permitted to ruin Canadian wheat producers, stated the Prime Minister, Mr. R. B. Bennett. A raid on the Bank of England, said Mr. Bennett, had forced England off the gold standard, and a similar group was endeavouring to break wheat price'B. The Canadian people had sent to the United States, in speculative losses on grains and stocks during the past 25 years, a sum equal to the public debt.
