N.Z. PAPER MILLS. DIVIDEND MAINTAINED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday. The directors of New Zealand Paper Mills, Limited, have decided to pay an interim dividend of 3 per cent. Payment will be made on November 9.' lhe rate is unchanged. ELECTROLYTIC ZINC. NET PROFIT TOTALS £234,797. After making provision for depreciation, amortisation and taxation, the net profit shown by the Electrolytic Zinc Company of Australia, Limited, for the year ended June 30 amounted to £234,797, according to the preliminary statement issued by the company. This compares with £223.093 in the previous year, an increase of £11,704. Taxation on that occasion was £17,369 greater than the sum provided this year, so that earnings of the company were actually less by £5665. Following are details of profits and appropriations: Net profit, £234.797; to amortisation and depreciation, £145.000; taxation, £32,337. The report and bal-rnce-sheet of the company will be issued shortly.
