VICAR ON GIRLS' SHORTS.
The Rev. W. E. W. Denliam, vicar of Chorley Wood, Herts, in a letter to his parish, described modern girls' fashions as "indecorous, ungraceful and brazen." He quotes the authority of a Biblical law in Deuteronomy xxii., 5: "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth iinto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God."
"I object to shorts for women," said Mr. Denliam," and I find that I am not alone in doing so. The average woman does not like to see young girls going about in shorts."
