MEETING OF DIRECTORS. Tho . monthly board meeting of the Y.W.C.A. directorate was presided over by Mrs. A. D. Campbell. Special attention was given to preparations for a flower show to be held shortly, in aid of the funds. A recommendation to appoint Mrs. M. Rudd and Mrs. K. O'Halioran as Auckland's representatives to the national board of the Y.W.C.A. of Xew Zealand was adopted. Various interim staff arrangements were reported, including Miss Ruth Stevenson's release early in November, from the post of acting cafeteria director and the temporary appointment of Miss Mary Greenwell from Xew Plymouth. Following on Miss Wakefield's resignation from the position of business secretary owing to her departure to England, Miss G. McKay had been appointed. Tli6 registration of 50 candidates in the "Search for Health" contest, and the generous voluntary help in that connection given by Dr. Alexandra Warnock and Miss Bebe Cooke, were favourably commented on. In the senior department Miss Olive Hart had just been elected president of the federation of senior clubs. Interesting news was received from Mrs. J. A. Bradstreet and Miss Jean Stevenson, delegates to the world's Y.W.C.A. council meeting in Gcvcva.
