EDEN V. KING'S OLD BOYS.

For Eden, Postlcs and Mills opened brightly against King's Old Boys. Mills, with a perchant for leg strokes, took twos and fours, while his associate also batted freely, 60 runs being hoisted in an hour. Five runs later Fostles was clean bowled by Andrews, who next ball got L. Vivian. Carson did not reign long, being caught and bowled by McCarthy, eo that three wickets were down for 70 runs. Without any addition to the score Mills was caught by Lewis off Andrews. Wickets fell cheaply for the next hour, Gillespie, Masters, MacEae, Donaldson and McNab being dismissed. Wilkinson, who batted after Masters, played vigorously and did well to hoist half a century in an hour. He was ably seconded by Xewdick, the last man, who registered a straight drive for the maximum. The total at the luncheon adjournment was IGO for nine wickets. Scores:— EDEX.—First Innings. Postles, b Andrews 21 Mills, c Lewis, b Andrews 46 L.
