CANON APPOINTED.
ST. PETER'S CATHEDRAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Wednesday. On the nomination of the standing committee and the Greater Chapter, the Bishop of Waikato has appointed the Rev. C. W. Turner, vicar of Te Aroha, to the canonry of St. Peter's Cathedral, which was left vacant by the resignation of the Rev. G. T. Beale, who returned to England some months ago. The Rev. R. J. Boyt, vicar of Frankton, has been appointed minor canon at St. Peter's Cathedral.
