EX-MODERATOR'S DEATH

REV. JOHN KILPATRICK,

DUNEDIN, Monday.

The death occurred to-day of the Rev. John Kilpatrick, former moderator of the Presbyterian Ceneral Assembly, aged 72. Mr. Kilpatrick was licensed by tho Free Church Presbytery of Glasgow in 1593 and arrived in Dunedin toward tlu> end of the same year. Shortly afterward he took charge of the parish of Warepa and Kaihiku and later accepted a call to Green Island, remaining there until his retirement in 1927.

For more than 10 years Mr. Kilpatrick was clerk of the Dunedin Presbytery and, in 1925, he was elected moderator of the Presbyterian General Assembly.
