OPEN FOR CHRISTMAS.

NEW RADIO STATION.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, Monday,

"I know nothing of any policy changes," said the general manager of the New Zealand Broadcasting Board, ilr. E. C. Hands, who returned to Wellington from Australia by the Monowai to-day. Mr. Hands said he had been informed that his mission to Australia had been said in some quarters to be a secret one, and> that important policy alterations were to be made.

"There is no secret about my trip," he added. "I went over principally in connection with the equipment for the new IYA studio and station, now in course of erection at Auckland. I expect the studio will be opened before Christmas."
