Kalauglier. Mr. Tracy, a former Dominion and University sprint champion, addressed the meeting. He said the club at Thames had had a good initial me.eting, and should be a strong help to the Waikato sub-centre. He suggested that a telegram should be sent to the New Zealand and Canadian schoolboys who were leaving Wellington on Tuesday, wishing them success at the Centenary meeting. Mr. Tracy is endeavouring to arrange for the Canadian boys to compete at Auckland and Rotorua on their return from Melbourne. Although he was not at liberty to announce the names of a British team that would be visiting New Zealand after the Centenary Games, Mr. Tracy stated that it would be of a particularly high standard. It should be one of the finest teams ever to tour this Dominion. The annual report presented to the meeting stated that the number of registered runners had increased in four years from 137 to over 600, which proved the rapid growth of the sport. New clubs had sprung up all over the province, and six new bodies were formed within the last month. XT, The visit of the Australians. J. I • Metcalfe. T. F. Hampson, and W. Barwick, was an outstanding success financially, and from the point of view of the | 10.000 spectators. Cross-country running had progressed rapidlv, and the winter season had been very 'successful. A ladies' harrier club had been formed, and there was a very active ladies' athletic club. Five Auckland secondary schoolboys had been selected to compete at the Melbourne Centenary. Seeing only eight were in this team, the Auckland "percentage indicates the high standard of the sport in the Auckland secondary schools. A visit from a Victorian athletic team is proposed for the coming season, and will be finalised at an early date.

An opening training mooting will be hold at the club's ground. Now Lynn, on Saturdav afternoon. All members and intending members are requested to attend, so that the committee can select: the teams to represent Lynndale in the tirst scratch race meeting.
