INJURED MAN.

STILL UNCONSCIOUS. INQUEST ON BROTHER. .. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, this day. No further light has been shed on the murder of three members of the Davenport family at Rangitoto. Edward Davenport is still lying unconscious in the local hosDital. A large body of police are encamped at Rangitoto on the Davenport farm, and fresh stores were dispatched this morning, with farm managers to take charge of the stock on the farm.

An inquest was opened this morning on the body of Albert Davenport, and was adjourned after evidence of identification had been given by Edgar Johnston Davenport, farmer, of Oparure, a cousin, who was with the police party when the body was discovered. SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TE KUITI, this day. The condition of Edward Davenport shows a slight improvement, but it is still serious.
