CARD AFTERNOON

The St. Joseph's parish Women's League held the final of their series of card afternoons in the Kingsford Hall, Otahuliu, yesterday. The tables looked very attractive arranged, as they were, with vases of Iceland poppies, stocks and marigolds intermingled with asparagus fern, Mrs. J. J. Craham presented the prizes won as follows: 500,' Mrs. J. Petersen; hidden number, Mrs. C. Brosnan; bridge, Mrs. M. Constance. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames C. Hallworth, F. Holloway, T. Hardman and J. J Graham. There were also present Mesdames J. Goodwin, B. Trczise, J. Cahill, J. Bonebam, M. Constance, J. O'Toolc, E. E. Turner, J. Petersen, C. Josephs, R. King, C. Linton, G. Nixon and P. McKernon.
