PREVIOUS FRUITLESS SEARCH.

After a widespread search by Iris mother and neighbours, Robert David Gulland, aged four, soil of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gulliind, of Clevedon Road, Papatoetoe, was found drowned in a well in the gsrr'en at his home, late yesterday afternoon. The child had left home for a neighbour's house at 11 a.m., and when he did not return for lunch, his mother became alarmed and began a search. No trace of him was found until Mr. Gulland returned from work about 5 p.m., when the body was found in about 4ft of water in the well, which had been only recently dug. Dr. J. J.
