A LOST VILLAGE.
There was a tragic atmosphere about the inauguration of a chapel on the spot near where once stood the village of Fleury. Floury was one of six communes ill the "Red Zone" near Verdun which were completely destroyed in the tremendous lighting of 1910 and never rebuilt. Before the chapel was built the only reminder that there was once a village of Fleury was the fact that its name still appears on maps of the district.
