A new mountaineering record for women has been set np by the wife of Professor G. O. Dyhrenfurth, the leader of the International Himalayan Expedition. Siie accompanied her husband and Ertl Hoecht in a climb to the western summit of Queen Mary Peak in the Ivarakoruks, which is 24,005 feet high,
