SPECIAL TRAINS.
LABOUR DAY WEEK-END,
Special trains will be run by the Railway Department to cater for holidaymakers during Labour Day week-enJ, and to serve the Auckland Trotting Club's races at Auckland, band contest and gymkhana at Whangarei, Waika.to Hunt Club's races at Cambridge, sports carnival at Te Aroha, and sports meeting at Thames. On the northern line a special trai'i will leave Auckland for Whangarei at 0.45 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, and arrive at Whangarei at 11.35 a.m., while the usual 5.14 p.m. train from Auckland for Whangarei on that day will be accelerated, so as to reach Whangarei at 11.20 p.m A special train will leave Auckland for National Park at 1.15 p.m., and another for Rotorua at 1.20 p.m. on October 20. These will connect with the Frankton-Paeroa train, which will leave Frankton at 4.10 p.m., instead of 3.40 p.m., as usual. A special train for the race meeting at Cambridge on Labour Day will leave Auckland at 7.4 a.m.
