WRESTLING.
WALKER BEATS DETTON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Hurled through the ropes early in the fifth round, Dean Detton (America) could not regain the ring within the specified time and George Walker was awarded the verdict in a wrestling contest at the Wellington Town Hall last night. Up to then both men had secured a fall, Walker taking the first with a dump in the third round, and Detton equalising in the fourth, after a series of short-arm scissors.
