(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WANGANUI, Monday. In perfect golfing weather, the New Zealand opeu golf championship was won to-day by A. J. Shaw, the professional, who gained tile title for the sixth time, five of his victories being recorded in the last half dozen tourneys. Hie first success was in 1926. B. M. Silk topped the list of amateurs, thereby winning the Bledisloe Cup. The Jellieoe Cup, for the best round by any competitor in the opeu championsnip, was won by the young Taihape amateur J. P. Mortland, with a card of 70, equalling the course record.
